Management and PMU (Program Management Unit) of SA PIP

Activities planned for 2007- Annual Work Plan 4 (AWP 4)
- PSC meetings and secretariat for PIP management committee and EFWG (ongoing);
- Continued operation of the Program Management Unit (PMU) staff and office (ongoing);
- Associated management costs such as legal fees for contracts, review and evaluation of research reports and conference fees;
- Management of the implementation phase of SA PIP;
- Management of the Program;
- Planning of activities (Formalised in Annual Work Plans (AWP)
- Monitoring and Evaluation according to log-frame
- Reporting quarterly and annually to PSC and EC Delegation in Pretoria and
- Conducting external mid-term review and financial audit.
Activities in 2006 (AWP 3)
- PSC meetings and secretariat for PIP Management Committee and EFWG (ongoing);
- Continued operation of the Program Management Unit (PMU) staff and office;
- Associated management costs such as legal fees and representation at the EUREP GAP conference.
Activities in 2004 - 2007 (According to the logical framework in the Financing Agreement and the Annual Work Plans)
- Management of the implementation phase of SA PIP;
- Establishment of PIP Management Committee and Program Steering Committee (PSC);
- Recruitment and appointment of Program Management staff;
- Establishment of an Emerging Farmer Working Group (EFWG);
- Management of the Program:
- Planning of activities (Formalised in Annual Work Plans (AWP)
- Monitoring and Evaluation according to log-frame
- Reporting quarterly and annually to PSC and EC Delegation in Pretoria and
- Conducting external mid-term review and financial audit.
