Agricultural practices adjusted on crops exported to the EU.

Activities planned for 2007 Annual Work Plan (AWP 4)

• Provide ongoing support to Small Scale Farmer projects.

Activities in 2006 (AWP 3)

• Training material for responsible pesticide handling adapted to South African standards and language.
• Training needs analysis of Emerging Farmers in South Africa.
• Small-scale Farmer (SSF) projects to assist groups of new farmers towards sustainable horticulture and exports.
• Curriculum development for a technologist program in agri-exports.

Activities in 2005 (AWP2)

• Design and disseminate information brochure on latest food safety requirements for producers of fruit and vegetables destined for export.

Activities in 2004 (AWP1)

• Publication of information on good agricultural practice (GAP).
