Code Standards was initiated as a project to cover a variety of purposes in our very diverse industry, running a host of systems, of which some have been developed many years ago using technologies not always indusive to communications.

The need arose to have a standardized communications platform to enable efficient transfer of data between systems inherently on different software platforms. Having to maintain 100’s of translation tables for various parties in industry to communicate have become a time consuming and costly affair with the accuracy of information, generated by translating files, always in question. From here the Codes standards project was born.
