Career Development in PPECB

PPECB has strong corporate intellectual capital, and its business is essentially the delivery of services to clients. Our employees must therefore be well qualified and experienced to add value, which is achieved by ensuring that competency levels are continuously on a high standard. Special attention is therefore given to training programmes within the Operations Department, Inspection and Cold Chain Value Stream, which focus on ensuring competency but also career development.

In this background, PPECB has developed a Career Pathway for technical employees, mapping out career development opportunities in PPECB. It provides occupational choices to the employee regarding their development within the organisation based on the strategic design of the organisation and each position requiring a different level of education, training and competencies.  The pathway also provides maximum flexibility in the career decision-making process, allowing employees to move between positions provided they meet the requirements of desired position. It also  provides the employee with an opportunity to assess their own performance, improve where necessary, and attain personal and career goals.
